there are many ways to weave the narrative of how i became a doctor of chinese medicine and herbalist. some of those threads start with my study and practice of herbal medicine creating custom salves and tinctures. other threads start with my own primary care provider who was also an acupuncturist, dr. lin who i saw for 10 years growing up. she taught me the value of an integrative approach to medicine. another is with the 100 year old qigong master dr. wu who taught me to call my energy back and recover the fragments of my hun. others yet start in my own country of brazil with the afro-indigenous practices of the global south, taught to me by my mother and through the power of my grandmother's hands.

i received my masters from yo san university of traditional chinese medicine and my doctorate from atom in fort lauderdale. as a part of my doctorate i ran a pilot study comparing the chong vessel as the vagus to measure the efficacy of treatment for anxiety and ptsd. i have worked alongside dr. okere at his primary care practice and co-organize a free clinic called the liberation clinic centering those who cannot afford holistic medical care.
